Mr. Karim Asad Ahmad Khan KC was born on 30 March 1970 and is a British lawyer specializing in international criminal law and international human rights law. On 12 February 2021, Mr. Khan was elected as Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the nineteenth session.

Today, 16 June 2021, Mr. Khan gave his solemn undertaking and formally took office as the Prosecutor of the ICC. In his address, he stated, "Today, I am filing applications for warrants of arrest before Pre-Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Court in the Situation in the State of Palestine."
